ISOCHEM manufactures short peptides (2 to 4 residues) at the 100 - 1000 kg scale but will consider manufacturing longer peptides at this kind of scale whenever feasible using solution technologies.

Coupling methods used include optimized mixed anhydrides coupling or Urethane N-Carboxyanhydrides (UNCAs) coupling, less frequently carbodiimides. UNCAs are outstanding reagents which couple with nucleophiles without racemization and thus avoid the use of hazardous racemization suppressors like HOBT.
